“Kweh” The horn of a water buffalo provides Karen people with an adaptable musical instrument and a culturally significant artifact. Kweh was also used to gather people for occasions as well as prepare for fighting.
This beautiful artwork was painted by a student of Dr. T. Thanbyar Christian Institute’s Art Class.
TCI, situated on the bank of the Salween River, is providing education opportunities to students with marginalised backgrounds from karen, Bago, Thanintharyi and Karen areas impacted by armed conflicts in Burma/Myanmar.
