“Kweh” The horn of a water buffalo provides Karen people with an adaptable musical instrument and a culturally significant artefact. Kweh was also used to gather people for occasions as well as preparation for fighting.
This beautiful artwork is painted by a student of Dr. T. Thanbyar Christian Institute’s Art Class in August 2021.
TCI, situated on the bank of the Salween River, is providing education opportunities to students with marginalised backgrounds from karen, Bago, Thanintharyi and Karen areas impacted by armed conflicts in Burma/Myanmar.
